Meet Dr. Marc Cohen
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Cohen spent his childhood growing up in central Alaska. He and his family then moved to Colorado where he attended high school and his first year of college. On the move again, he earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Dr. Cohen received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Dentistry in 1986. There he developed his interest in prosthodontics. He received his certificate in prosthodontics from the Memphis VA Medical Center in July of 1988. He continued to develop the laboratory and clinical skills necessary to deliver state of the art treatment.
Following completion of his specialty training, Dr. Cohen taught part-time in the Department of Prosthodontics at UTHSC in Memphis until 2001. During this time he developed his private practice to treat patients who require general dentistry as well as those who require his prosthodontic reconstructive expertise. Dr. Cohen continues to be active in the actual fabrication of the fixed, removable and implant restorations he delivers to his patients. His unique blend of artistry and technical skill allows him to produce these restorations to exceed his patient’s expectations.
Dr. Cohen is an active member of several professional organizations including the American College of Prosthodontics, the Amerian Detal Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the Memphis Dental Society. He is also active is two local study clubs. He has been at his current practice location since 1994.
